RosanPak distributor in Moldova

GRANPAC has been on the Moldovan market for more than 25 years: we bring in the packaging of one of the largest thermoformed-packaging manufacturers in Eastern Europe and sell it here from stock. The catalogue holds 466 items across 11 categories: containers for cakes and rolls, ice-cream packaging, cups and sundae bowls, inserts for biscuits and sweets, packaging for sushi and sauces, boxes for salads, ready meals and semi-finished food, trays for meat, seafood and dairy, plus packaging for eggs, fruit and vegetables. Fast-moving items sit in our warehouse, so an order does not wait for a production run.

A plant with more than 25 years behind it

RosanPak was founded on 2 February 1998 with the backing of a well-known Canadian plastic packaging manufacturer. From a small team it grew into a large modern operation: in August 2007 the plant moved into a new building built to European requirements, and in September 2017 it significantly expanded its production and warehouse space. The fleet of thermoforming machines is constantly renewed, and the full range of materials — PS, PP and PET — is produced on its own equipment. The sales network covers five regional warehouses and exports to a number of European countries; in Moldova it is represented by GRANPAC.

Materials and food safety

We work with PET, PP, PS and OPS, and with combinations of them where the base and the lid are made of different materials. All packaging is intended for contact with food: production is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and to the ISO 22000:2018 food safety management standard. For every task we match the material to the temperature range — a chilled display case and freezing, microwave reheating, or ordinary room temperature.

How we work with customers

A small kitchen or café needs to start with a trial batch; a retail chain needs steady supply and the same quality month after month. We help match an item to the size of your product, provide samples where needed, and keep track of the codes you already use so a repeat order takes a single line.

Printing and embossed logo

At the plant, packaging can be printed in six colours or given your embossed logo. The box holding your cake and the container holding your ready meal then work for the brand instead of looking like anonymous plastic. Runs like these are made to order: tell us which item and what quantity you need and we will work out lead times and terms.

Why appearance decides

A finished product has a short path to the customer and high expectations about how it looks. A cake has to arrive undamaged, a salad must not mix, ice cream has to keep its shape, meat and fish have to look fresh, and the display case should show the product rather than the plastic. That is why we focus on clear materials, a lid lock that actually holds, and a size range the finished product fits precisely — from a single-portion sauce cup to a cake 325 mm across.

Materials

Which plastic to choose

Four base materials and their combinations. Here is the short version of how they differ in practice.

PETDisplay and cold

Glass-like clarity, rigidity and cold resistance. The main material for cakes, desserts and salads on display.

PPHot food and microwave

Handles reheating and freezing without warping under heat. For ready meals, soups and sauces.

PSThe economical option

A rigid, affordable material for room temperature. Often used as the base paired with a clear lid.

OPSMaximum gloss

Oriented polystyrene: the brightest gloss and lid clarity. It works like glass over the dessert.
